Diversity Insights Report

As an organization that has been working for thirty years towards a global digital economy that is equitable, diverse and inclusive, we have seen our mandate evolve.

We recognize that advocacy for gender parity needs to actively embrace a commitment to honouring intersectionalities to achieve diversity, equity, and inclusion for all.

We pledged to do a better job of listening to and understanding the experiences and specific challenges facing the people in our community who are under-represented – but not only by virtue of their gender, but by their race, ethnicity, sexual identity, and physical abilities.

Divided into three themes, #FacingtheFacts, #StrategicIntent and #DiversityDeliversBusinessResults, the report sheds light on how we, as a community, can effect meaningful change.

Land Acknowledgement

Women in Communications and Technology acknowledges that our offices and work, located in Ottawa, are on the unceded, unsurrendered Territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation whose presence here reaches back to time immemorial.

We also recognize that the work of our Regional Chapters is carried out on traditional territory of First Nation, Inuit and Métis peoples from coast to coast. We are thankful that we are able to work and collaborate on these lands.
